Habitat for Humanity in Pacoima, CA 11-08-08

Wow!

This was a great day!! The Group In Action arrived bright and early at 8:00am in Pacoima.

We worked hard getting ready for the grading of the next phase of this fantastic 60 Home Habitat for Humanity build.

This was an inspiring and invigorating day.

We have received A LOT of enthusiasm for the Habitat events, please let us know if you are interested in our future trips.

Next Event - HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - Nov 8, 2008 8:00am to 2:00pm

The-Group-In Action is on the move. Our next event is participating in a Habitat for Humanity project through the Woodland Hills Habitat serving San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valley.

The current project located in Pacoima, CA is a 60 home community build, of which 20 homes are already complete. We will be working on the next 17 homes.

The -Group- In-Action gets together for whatever reason we want, and this particular day we will be helping others by participating in building this fantastic community. There is limited space for this day, so please let us know if you are interested in participating right away. Simply post a comment on the blog, or call 661-242-7835 or 661-263-0441 and let us know you are interested in participating with The Group on this next event.

PS - we hope to have T-shirts for purchase. The price to be determined and proceeds will go toward the cost of the shirts, any expense for the group to get to the job site and any additional will be donated to Habitat for Humanity :)

See you all there - wear hard soled shoes, bring gloves, lunch and water. We will post exact time and carpooling arrangements soon.

Girls Night Out also enjoys Culinary Delights

We also enjoyed fantastic culinary delights paired with Delicious wines at Bistro 561.

We indulged in a 9 course tasting menu, and for most this also included a wine pairing.
Each course was beautifully presented, very unique, fabulously Delicious and elegantly served.

Hats off to the fantastic meal!

The Group In Action - Girls Night Out 9/25/08

On September 25th The Group In Action hosted a Girls Night Out in Pasadena California.

We were entertained at The Pasadena Playhouse where we saw the play Vanities. If you haven't been to The Pasadena Playhouse, there is not a bad seat in the house.

We enjoyed watching the lives of the three stars transform and evolve over time. A perfect play for the girls!

Travel to Pasadena and enjoy a Girl's Night Out with dinner and an evening at the Pasadena Playhouse. Leaving Santa Clarita about 4:00pm Time to be narrowed down. Anyone interested is welcome

Habitat for Humanity build -Travel to a fairly local Habitat Build and help build a home

Wine tasting with a twist - bring your own inexpensive wine (cheap) and share and compare. Enjoy socializing and getting away from the day-to-day and meet other wine enthusiasts

MILK program sponsored by the hosts of The Group In Action - time and location to be announced. Save on CD important information about your children in case they are lost.

Car seat Program - Be sure car seats are adequate and appropriately installed. Location to be announced

Holiday Celebration December ish (Possibly combined with the Habitat Build)

Look for our very informal De stressing Series - small, or not, spontaneous gatherings with brief information from specialists like Family Therapists, Grief Counselors, Money Mangers, Real Estate professionals (and??? We are open to any suggestions and requests). Then move on to socializing
